Our Ajrakh Tunic (or Kurta) is hand-block printed using hand-dyed indigo on beautiful Chanderi Silk. This is a traditional (and laborious) method of hand-weaving that is centuries old and passed on through generations. Chanderi silk is considered the fabric of choice for saris, dupattas (shawls) and kurtas. Favored by royalty, due to its light-weight yet durable quality. Our intricate designs originate from the town of Chanderi, India.

The neckline incorporates a silk, tie-dyed lining. Designed with half sleeves, side pockets and side slits – beautiful details abound such as fabric covered buttons on the sleeves and on the side slits.
